Happy New Year

Rang in the New Year with the Barbosas!! It was a fun night of fondue, games and a little bubbly...

My New Years resolution is to continue to survive and to have a smile on my face as much as possible. These are the years of such great joy with little ones. I never want to take them for granted...as hard as they can be. I also have a goal to start running again and to live my life one day at a time, living each day as God would have me live it. Happy New Year 2013

The End

Ho Ho Ho time!

"Its the most wonderful time of the year..." You sure??
Our first snow fall. It was such a fun day, and so exciting with Christmas coming. But wow, it hasn't stopped snowing since!!

Cohen & Ashton

One of my favorite days of the year (more then Christmas day), is decorating the tree and
putting out all the holiday decorations. The Magic never ceases to come. This year was even more
fun because we got to dig through my moms decorations! I think it turned out nice.

Off to see Santa...this year we took a horse drawn sleigh ride to his work shop. Got to mix it up!
"not quite sure who or what you are, but Halle and Cohen seem to like you..."

Christmas Party with my girls. Hope we are still doing this when we are 60!!
Love them all to pieces

Christmas Eve breakdown: take-out from Texas Roadhouse, decorating cookies for Santa, missing our parents, skyping with our families, missing our grandparents, HYPERNESS, pajamas under the tree, a LONG night of wrapping & wanting to cherish these moments forever, even when they are hard.

My brother Chris and his daughter Nina joined us this year

Here is some cookies Santa!! Yum Yum

Can't have Christmas without toys. Here are the kids out shopping & playing with Dad

Christmas morning happened so fast and with very little pictures taken. The hot story this year was my kids, Giant bears & Elelephant. This was their big present from Santa and they have loved them to pieces ever since. Halle also got a "baby alive" who really does pee and poo, and Cohen got his first "laptod' (touch screen computer). James was excited about all his cars and nick nacks. Mommy got a nice new set of dishes:) Ahhh.

Merry Christmas 2012!!

James turns 2 & Thanksgiving

We had a Ball themed birthday party... as requested by James:) Ball was one of his first words and he is absolutely obsessed with them. I actually had so much fun planning this party. When the event arrived though, I was really bad at taking pictures. Fortunately, I snagged a few from some friends. We had balls everywhere....all over the floor, on top of the cupcakes, on the sign, for decorations, etc. James was in heaven and oh so hyper!!! He's my first boy obsessed with balls and sports:)

James gives the biggest "cheeses" for cameras, Wonder where he gets that from???

This next picture poorly captures James'excitement when he opening his "light up" spider man shoes. He was jumping and stomping all over the floor and wouldn't stop. It was so funny.

James is the craziest, most mischievous little tazz manian devil you will ever meet. He is 100% boy and 100% independent. He know exactly what he wants and likes everything a certain way. I feel another Halle coming on. We love you James. Happy Birthday!!

Thanksgiving...
So much to be grateful for... 6 months clean and sober for Chad, we are staying in a beautiful home, we have an amazing ward and so much love and support from family and friends.

We hosted our 2nd Thanksgiving this year, and it was a lot of work and a lot of fun! Things feel a little different with my parents being gone, but my sister Jaime and I have managed to keep up the traditions and keep things going without my mom (even though things are much less fancy and much more simple). My brother Chris joined us this year with Nina and his girlfriend Cheryl. We ate, ate, ate and then shopped the Black Friday sales (one tradition that we claim we want to stop but then keep doing it every year). I really have found a joy with cooking for others and entertaining. We have had fun living at my parents house in their oh so fancy kitchen. If only there was a solution for the dished and the mess...

Cohen Turns 5

Cohen is 5 years old! He has planned this birthday party for 6 months. He was dead set on Jungle Jims Playland with his cousins!! This place tops the charts in a little boys eyes {wouldn't be my first choice}, but hey these kids rode the same 5 rides over and over again

Mama barley fits in this train...surprised it didn't break in half when I squeezed on in.

Pizza, rootbeer and some good old dinosaur cake....Tah Dah!! Easiest birthday ever.

I don't know what we would do without out cute cousins. They are my kids best friends and they love each other so much. I am so excited for them to grow up together!

Happy Birthday Cute boy!! You have the most kind gentle heart and we just adore you!
