Merry Chistmas!

the 23rd day of christmas

On the 23rd day of Christmas we went to a really fun Christmas party...without kids...and ate a ton...and husbands watched football...and there was tons of snow...and I loved the house.... Wahoo! It was so nice to see all my old friends from HS. Thanks for hosting Jennie!

the 22nd day of christmas

On the 22nd day of Christmas we went to the Nutcracker! This has been a long standing tradition in my family to go every year. I still remember going with my Grandma, mom and cousins, dressing up in our Christmas dresses, sitting in awe during the first act and giggling during the second act (we all know why). Well this year was by far the best year because I was able to take Halle for the first time. She sat perfectly still, with her mouth open during the whole performance and I even caught her humming along to the music of the snow ferries. It was so fun and may be the highlight of my Christmas this year.

And then told me she wanted to quit.

the seventh day of christmas

On the seventh day of Christmas we took the kids to Thanksgiving Point to see the lights. All I can say is that it was a hit and every parent should consider doing it. For one it is cheap (6 dollars a car). Secondly, it is warm ( 10 degree weather would never get my behind to the temple square lights that's for sure). Thirdly, there is a to die for bakery with cocoa floats, gingerbread cake, and oreo cookies the size of your hand...with peppermint frosting. Finally, santa's reindeer are waiting at the end to be pet making it the highlight of our kids Christmas season. All good times I would say:)

the fourth day of Christmas

On the fourth day of Christmas we decided to scare Cohen to death. We locked him in a room at the ward party with Santa, where "big Elmo" was, "scawee" and tried to get Cohen to sit on his lap. More tears this year then when Halle was two. Halle of course was thrilled to sit on Santa's lap. Still not sure what she asked for Christmas cause I was too busy reassuring Cohen that Santa was nice.

sixth day of christmas

On the sixth day of Christmas we dressed up in our Sunday best...

side note: it may appear that my kids love each other but this is not so. Right after this picture was taken there was a serious wrestling match and Halle now has a whole in her tongue (I am just glad I got a picture).

Wahoo! eight years…

Happy Anniversary!!!

Ten reasons why I am glad I married this guy...

1) His snoring will always keep me partially awake so I can hear my kids at night
2) He sings to our children
3) He works so hard to support our family and make all our dreams come true… and I have a lot of dreams that change every day
4) He is a nervous wreck when ever I am driving, which implies he loves me and doesn’t want me to get hurt:)
5) He plays house with Halle; buys her from pet shops, pretends to be her prince (or Troy from HSM), catches butterflies with her.
6) He makes pancakes every Saturday morning
7) He listens to me and tries to solve all my problems… I seem to have a lot:)
8) He is oh so fine
9) He wants to have 10 more kids:)
10)He stayed married to me after 8 years!

should I be worried?

Today my two year old boy
looked at me and said, "mommy be QUIET!!!"
Should I be worried?
My four year old girl was fretting all day
because her "boyfriend" Gavin (who apparently isn't her
boyfriend anymore)was smiling at her during rehearsal
for the primary program. She is embarrassed to talk in
the microphone at church with him watching her
Should I be worried?

Mickey Mouse Clubhoues!!!

Wow are we tired. It is Wednesday and I am still walking around in slow motion in recovery of our Halloween weekend. My little mousekateers could not be cuter though. Have a look.

Off to preschool for party #1, and still perfecting her Minnie Mouse wave.Party # 2 with neighborhood friends. These kids need to be in a Halloween
magazine don't you think? Party #3 at Nona and Papa's house. My favorite thing about this little guy? his nose. In case you don't know I was attempting "Sharpay" from
high school musical and not really cutting it.

Meet the parents:)

Chad bopping for apples and apparently very hungry.

The ultimate party of course was trick or treating. Cohen was in heaven!

To keep with tradition, I attempted home made donuts at the conclusion of

our Halloween celebration. Tired.

Cohen Turns 2

Seriously don't remember Cohen every being small...
but here he is, two years ago
Cohen is such a delight and we love him SO much! Of course we had to throw him a 'Cars' themed birthday! This kid was floating on air all day long. He couldn't be happier with all the balloons in the family room, not to mention the extra attention, hugs, kisses, and a free pass to behave as badly as he wanted:)

Halle helped me make a bunch of these little cars out of candy for party favors

Cohen had been practicing his birthday, "blow out the candles" all week long (under Halle's direction) so he fared just fine for the final performance.

Cohen's favorite toy? A vacuum...I think I have mentioned before

how obsessed he is with vacuums

And every kid has to have a big red car right? Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Happy Birthday Cohen!!

We love you!
