Cohen turns three!

Just as Halloween approaches every year we get to have a birthday party for Cohen. I have yet to do anything really "Halloween themed" because by the time we celebrate his birthday, we are all worn out on Halloween activites.

This year he was insistent on having a Thomas the Train birthday party and even knew he was going to get his first train set for his birthday present.

We went to Boondocks to celebrate and invited a few of his cousins and
Nona and Papa to come along

"Here comes Thomas!"

We played in the toddler zone for awhile and then went bumper bowling. It is so cute there because they have really little bowling lanes and small balls for the kids. Even Mommy is a good bowler and Boondocks!

I love you little boy. Please, please no more birthdays. Three is good forever:)

As of late...

Halloween festivities are the best. My fam ventured down to Thanksgiving point this year to do Corn Bellys. My kids were entertained for hours! I didn't love the crowd and hobbling around big and pregnant, but other then that it was great!

Check out Cohen in the drivers seat. It was a huge fight to get him off, he was in heaven!

We LOVE Utah football games! This year we took Cohen to see his first game. He was entertained for 5 whole minuets! It was fun to spend one on one time with him though and in order to make it fair we took Halle to the Broadway musical Lion King:)
(sorry no pics) GNO to Pineview. As mentioned by many chicas, "what happens in Pineview, stays in Pineview"!

Fall Pictures

I am by no means a photographer, but I do like to take pictures and I LOVE Fall. So my sister Tracie and I headed to Memory Grove last Sunday to capture the kids in nature. All I can say is that photographers are very patient and talented because it is hard work to get good pictures. Here are a few of my fav. Cohen was in good spirits for about 5 min. After that, this was his permanent face..."when can we have our picnic...?"

Thanks Aunt Tracie!

quotes of the day

While we were driving in the car,

Halle: Mom, I finally figured out what I am going to be when I grow up

Mom: Yeah what?

Halle: I am going to work in a haunted house in a scary costume and scare people!

(a mothers dream)

Cohen: Yeah, and and and when I grow up I am going to work in a happy house and make people laugh and be silly!

Halle: Cohen there is no such thing as silly houses...(roll of the eyes)

Mom: smile

During story time with Cohen and Daddy

Chad: Once upon a time there was a pumpkin and he decided to plant some hay so he started to walk down the hill to...

Cohen: But Daddy, pumpkins don't have legs

Chad: Oh right..., so the pumpkin grabbed a shovel and started to dig some holes to plant the...

Cohen: But Daddy, pumpkins don't have arms

Quiet

I was in the bathroom getting ready for the day when all the sudden I realized that it was extremely quiet in my house. In fact I hadn't heard a peep for over 10 minuets. This is weird I thought...a little panicked. When I ran out to see what the kids were up to I was so amazed at what I found I had to snap a picture of it. Quietly coloring on the kitchen floor:) This is a first for Cohen who usually lasts one second with anything artistic. Anyways this quiet nice moment was my paycheck for the week!

All grown up!

Wow the first day of kindergarten came and went very quickly. These are all the cute kids from our ward that are going to kindergarten with Halls. All us moms stood there teary eyed at the East doors as our little babies walked in single file into the school waving goodbye. This girl has been ready for this day for a long time. She is so independent and wants to learn and know about everything. The hardest part of having her in school is that Cohen and I have no one to call the shots and tell us what to do (we resort to napping and just watching the clock until Halle comes home again). Soooo Silly and Sooooo much energy. Good luck Mrs Yardley! Do you want a cute
little boy too with blonde hair and 2 dimples?

We are so proud!
