quote of the day

You know its been a long day when you find an old peanut butter m&m wedged under your child's car seat and eating it is the highlight of your day:/

Christmas continued...

Halle sang with all these cute "Whos" at our ward Christmas
party, "where are you Christmas" it was SO cute I died. Christmas PJs at Nonas!

Chad's famous "Christmas eve display" (Chad loves to stay up all night Christmas eve wrapping presents and displaying everything just perfectly for the next morning. I made it to 11:00 pm and was out cold)This year we had a small gathering up at our house for Christmas Eve. It was so fun to be in our own home and start our own traditions . Chad even cooked a prime rib!

Christmas morning!

Christmas Festivities!

So I wasn't overly filled with Xmas spirit this year having just had a baby and wanting nothing more then to lay in bed, hold him and keep everyone inside and healthy. Leave it to Halle and Cohen though to take over for me and make sure nothing was missed this year. I couldn't believe Halle's memory of previous years and all her expectations of what needed to occur:)

#1 "Mom we must decorate and deliver Christmas cookies" #2 "Mom, aren't we suppose to go to tons of Christmas parties?"
#3 "We have to go see Christmas lights!"

#4 Fancy pictures by the Christmas tree was my request;)

#5 "Mom when will I get to be Mary and James gets to be my baby Jesus? When mom....when mom? today, is it today? How many more days? What will I wear and how will I have blue hair? Mom I just have to be Mary this year!"

I am so glad that my kids got me into Christmas this year because we really did have so much fun with great memories

Side Notes

I miss my bud's long hair:(
Who would have thought my kids would ever weigh the same?

little gymnist

Halle has been taking gymnastics for almost a year now. This was her first little gymnastics meet and she was very excited to get this metal. We are proud parents of a girl who can now do a cartwheel! ;)

The first 2 weeks with James...

Wow, having a new baby in the home has been quite the change and we are taking on new roles in this family. First off is Cohen who doesn't know what to do with the baby. All he does do is steal James' binkys, hide his bottles and turn his carseat upside down. Chad is the best Dad ever (as always) and takes the nine to midnight shift with the baby every day so I can sleep. Halle thinks the baby is hers. She holds him several times everyday, feeds him, un-buckles him from his car seat, and now is starting to carry him around the house (which is scary, I know)

and now James takes naps in Halle's doll crib too...this version of playing house must feel quite real.

James is doing great. Very rarely do I catch him with his eyes open. He is the sleepiest baby ever, yet I am completely sleep deprived:) I can't get enough of him.
His first official bath at home was a family event

and I think he liked it!

We are full of joy with this new baby. It has been SO hard and SO busy, but SO worth every minuet!
