Deep Breath

Ok so three kids is nuts! I was watching Oprah the other day interview the "octamom" and I was having anxiety attacks while watching because she has 14 kids...14! Three is plenty to fill up every second of everyday. Some of my least favorite pastimes include

1- putting Cohen on the toilet, then off again, then back on again
2- laundry
3- spit up everywhere
4- laundry
5- time out for Halle
6- time out for Cohen
7- yellow stains on onsies :)
8- more laundry
9 prepare food, clean up food, kids still hungry
10- take James' binkies away from Cohen
11- pumping (no details needed)
12- looking in the mirror for the first time at 4:00 pm
13- time out for halle
14- dress kids in snow clothes, out to play, back in 5 min later wet and in tears
15- washing bottles
16- more spit up
17- juice spill on the floor
18- more pumping
19- potty accident for Cohen (#2)
20-more laundry

Ok, ok you get the point. So it is hard and sometimes brutal but there are so many reasons that it is worth everything

1-James' smile
2- Cohen tells me "thank you and I love you" so many times a day
3-singing duets with Halle
4-cuddling in bed each morning with all three of my kids
5- Diet coke runs (had to through that in)
6-Halle wiping Cohen's tears when he is hurt
7-Chad coming home everyday to refresh us all
8-listening to Halle read
9-Visits to Grandma and Grandpa's house
10-shopping for kids clothing
11- praying with my kids each morning before school
12-Halle's cards that she makes for me on a daily basis
13-play dates
14- cousins
15-pictures (so loving my new camera)
16-kisses and hugs that make me feel loved
17-James and everything about a new baby that is to love
18- laughing with Halle
19- my kids dimples
20- God's tender mercies that keep us afloat

quote of the day

You know its been a long day when you find an old peanut butter m&m wedged under your child's car seat and eating it is the highlight of your day:/

Christmas continued...

Halle sang with all these cute "Whos" at our ward Christmas
party, "where are you Christmas" it was SO cute I died. Christmas PJs at Nonas!

Chad's famous "Christmas eve display" (Chad loves to stay up all night Christmas eve wrapping presents and displaying everything just perfectly for the next morning. I made it to 11:00 pm and was out cold)This year we had a small gathering up at our house for Christmas Eve. It was so fun to be in our own home and start our own traditions . Chad even cooked a prime rib!

Christmas morning!

Christmas Festivities!

So I wasn't overly filled with Xmas spirit this year having just had a baby and wanting nothing more then to lay in bed, hold him and keep everyone inside and healthy. Leave it to Halle and Cohen though to take over for me and make sure nothing was missed this year. I couldn't believe Halle's memory of previous years and all her expectations of what needed to occur:)

#1 "Mom we must decorate and deliver Christmas cookies" #2 "Mom, aren't we suppose to go to tons of Christmas parties?"
#3 "We have to go see Christmas lights!"

#4 Fancy pictures by the Christmas tree was my request;)

#5 "Mom when will I get to be Mary and James gets to be my baby Jesus? When mom....when mom? today, is it today? How many more days? What will I wear and how will I have blue hair? Mom I just have to be Mary this year!"

I am so glad that my kids got me into Christmas this year because we really did have so much fun with great memories

Side Notes

I miss my bud's long hair:(
Who would have thought my kids would ever weigh the same?

little gymnist

Halle has been taking gymnastics for almost a year now. This was her first little gymnastics meet and she was very excited to get this metal. We are proud parents of a girl who can now do a cartwheel! ;)
