a little red rock...

The whole fam spent last weekend down in St George. My parents rented a house in Coral Canyon, just outside of the city, which is beautiful and very peaceful. We spent a lot of time at the pool, played tennis, visited the sand dunes, played a lot of games, BBQs and mostly just watched our hyper kids go crazy over each other. Here is a peak... loved the way these pictures turned out (learning photoshop).

Visiting our "family park" named after my great grandpa

Preschool graduation

Ms Joleen, Halle's preschool teacher

My little girl is all grown up and ready for Yale. She passed her first year of preschool with flying colors! The school put on a cute little program where they sang songs and highlighted each student a little bit. Apparently Halle would like to be a Princess when she grows up so I guess Yale is off the table...

Waiting for their turn to come to preschool...

We're dancing and singing...

My kids seem to have a love hate relationship (case and point, Halle recently tried to hang Cohen with a hanger). But sometimes they are the best of friends and nothing makes a mother more happy. Last week during a rain/hale thunderstorm they went outside and put on a little dance performance. I was so glad to have my camera! Here they are "dancing and singing in the rain..."

going private

In response to several nightmares I have had about my children over the months and the constant weighing on my conscience to make my blog private I have finally given in. If you want an invite leave your email address...

Tullips!

Ok so its not to late! Everyone still has time to go to the Tullip Festival at Thanksgiving point. It is so fun and beautiful and great exercise might I add (you have to do lots of walking) My kids loved it! We also made a stop at the Red Barn to see the animals and take a pony ride. Thanks Nona for treating us to a really fun day

Must i say it every time I post a picture of this stud...yep "so handsome!"

Omaha Baby!

Cohen and I were able to go on our first vacation together. We went to visit one of my best friends Becca Matsumori and her little boy Hugh who are living there for dental school. Didn't know that there were so many great things to do in Omaha, Nebraska but we had a blast! They even have a fabulous Target there...

Heading out to church where Hugh was much more reverent then Cohen

"Say cheese"
Although hughie tries he just cannot out "cheese" the Cohen.

Visiting winter quarters....makes you really grateful for
what our ancestors endured to establish Zion.

One of the many infant graves found here...could never have survived a pioneer

Visiting the Zoo...one of the best I've seen

And lets not even talk about getting there and back (although the trip was well worth it, avoid traveling with an active 18 month old at all costs).

Cohen missing Hughie on our way back home.

Thanks Becca! Learned a ton from you...
