Cohen is 1!!!

The first of many Happy years and Halloween partys occured last night....my little baby boy is one! We had a great party with all of our cousins. ll I attempted a pumpkin cake and lets just say it tasted better then it lookedWe ll dressed up for the occasion... Cohen loved all of his presents, but he would have settled for empty boxes just wrapped up.

He LOVED his cake as he does all food, any food. He just sat in his high chair laughing the whole time. His way of just saying, "ah yes life does not get any better"

The best bithday surprise of all was when Cohen just stood up and decided, "I think I will walk now" and took 15 steps. He has been walking ever sence.

leaves falling everywhere

Well I mentioned I like Fall, but never have I seen it so intensified and beautiful as I saw it last weekend. We went to Jackson hole with some friends minus all the children. For some reason the world just looks calmer and more beautified when you have the time to enjoy it without the demands, runny noses and messes (we really did miss them though). We went on a long bike ride bordered with thousands of trees and falling leaves everywhere. I was in heaven. We also soaked in hot tubs ate a lot of junk food (especially me) and were entertained with Wii action.

Pumpkin picking

So Chad is the ultimate traditionalist especially when it comes to holidays. Simply going to a local store to pick out a pumpkin will not due. He has childhood memories of driving in a car one hour, loading onto a hay ride and venturing out into the country to pick out the perfect pumpkin. Luckily for us we have a pumpkin patch right down the street and so Chad wasn't too disappointed this year (however he did drag Halle out to the furthermost corner of the patch to choose a pumpkin and afterwords she was covered with dirt and mosquito bites). After we picked our pumpkins we hit the hay maze and then called it a night. We look foreword to chopping down our own Christmas tree to also live up to Chad's standards.

Yum...fall...

So Chad is always relieved when fall roles around cause that means a garantee of good spirits around the house. I just LOVE fall, as most people do but it is by far my most favorite season and I am always in a good mood. Some of my favorite things include, cold nights and warm days, of course leaves falling on the ground (out here in farmington it means one leaf, singular), the start of my addiction to hot chocolate, sweatshirts and jeans, any candle scent that has the word "spice" in it, jogging or walking when it is brisk in the morning, utah football games, and the list goes on and on.....

Check out this cute picture my neighbor took...

My Kids...

Well Halle has officially grown up and is getting ready to move out on her own...or so it feels like. She started Preschool this week! I thought she would hold onto my leg and refuse to leave my side, but she had no problem at all. In fact the night before she made it perfectly clear that mommy was NOT going with her. She has become so independent! Two of her best friends go with her, Addy and Parke and they are quite an excited group.

What can I say about Cohen other then what a stud. He is a little obsessed with his bottles as this picture shows and crawls around the house with them. But he is the second child so do I really worry about this??? He is very active and loves loves loves to eat food. Many can attest to his abiliy to clear out his own food and steal food away from other babies. I just love that my kids finally play together and have fun.

Tracie's Wedding

My little sis got married last weekend. That's a wrap on both sides of my family. We are all old married people. Congrats Trace! Everything was beautiful!
